ENSKÄR Consulting was founded in the beginning of 2020 with the idea that there was a need for a combination of marine technical and legal knowledge in Sweden. We have now traded for roughly four years and are ever more sure that this was correct. We also have a great network of companies around Sweden in order to be flexible and meet expectations from clients.
The company is being run by Rikard Enskär situated in Knivsta, just north of Stockholm, with easy access to all of Mälardalen and easy access to Arlanda airport and rest of Sweden. We want to become the No. 1 maritime consultancy company in Sweden where we are a one-stop-shop for the client due to our technical and legal knowledge and competence. We are just getting started!
Rikard Enskär
Rikard Enskär is founder and owner of Enskär Consulting AB and has worked as Surveyor and auditor for more than a decade for different classification Societies all over the world. He has in-depth knowledge of Classification Rules and has handled hundreds of certification projects at most types of manufacturers. Experience of systems from valves to gas turbines, drilling top drives and iron roughnecks. He has surveyed hundreds of vessels for class, everything from tug boats to cruise ships, doing everything from annual surveys to renewal surveys, in addition to other types of surveys like Boil off Recovery surveys of LNG carriers.
Rikard has extensive experience from most aspects of marine surveying. He has performed many vessel pre-pruchase inspections all over the world, through Enskär Consuling and previously for several other employers. Having previously worked for Krogius Scandinavia ha has done alot of different types of insurance related surveys, everything from cargo damages to P&I and H&M surveys. This has continued under Enskär Consulting.
He is an experienced auditor having performed many external ISO 9001/14001 audits of shipowners, ship managers, ports and other types of industries. He has performed hundreds of audits at manufacturers to both client specific requirements to Class related audits. As vessel auditor he has performed many ISM, ISPS and MLC audits onboard ships and ashore.
Rikard Holds a M.Sc. in Naval Architecture from Chalmers University and is currently studying Law at Uppsala University. He also has a dimploma in Marine Surveying from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy.
